Mike Kercher. New EATA’s Operations Officer

Dear members, the Council in Warna decided to establish a new role within the Executive Committee, it’s called the Operations Officer. The officer will be in charge of business processes. An organisation such as EATA, which is based on volunteers is always relying on the competences and skills of its members. One of the strategic objectives of the Operations Officer is to enhance organisational knowledge by translating good practices into documented processes. This will ease transitions for new incumbents. On a more operational base, the role will support managerial effectiveness and efficiency.
We are happy to have elected Dr. Mike Kercher, an international expert for Management, into the newly created role.

What does Mike say?

“I am passionate about Transactional Analysis and want to use my competences in building Management Systems to strengthen EATA. The challenge in many organisations is the flow of information across boundaries and interfaces – and we are no different. As a scientist, as a manager and as a TA practitioner, I am embracing structure for the orientation that it is providing, as well as the liberties that it allows. It is my aim to improve current processes together with all colleagues in the committees and the entire Council, for the benefit of the members of EATA..”
