A SELF-REPORT QUESTIONNAIRE TO MEASURE INJUNCTIONS AND DRIVERS- Massimo Vasale CTA (P), Elzbieta Baca P-TSTA, Davide Ceridono CTA-TS (P)

In 1999, Scilligo and colleagues developed a 120-item self-descriptive questionnaire, the Espero, which measures injunctions and drivers and consists of 20 scales (Scilligo, D’Aversa e Liverano, 1999). The Espero is a psychometric tool widely used in Italy in TA practice. A recent systematic review evaluating the psychometric quality of the tools developed in Transactional Analysis (Vos & van Rijn, 2021), highlighted its good interpretability, factor structure, and content and criterion validity. The tool has been revalidated recently using a larger and heterogeneous normative sample (Vasale et al., 2023). The webinar aims to illustrate the Espero questionnaire and its use in the clinical and research fields. The clinical use will be illustrated through the presentation of some cases. Some information will also be provided on the main research lines of the Espero and the results from research useful in the clinical reading of the instrument.

Scriptdrama Therapy: a new method of working with the life script  – Anna Krieb

Script-Drama-Therapy combines Pesso´s Body Therapy (developed by Al Pesso and Diana Boyden Pesso) with Transactional Analysis.
Transactional analysis has very good concepts for understanding how the life script asserts itself in people’s daily lives, in positive and negative ways. Script drama therapy allows a very quick access to the interfering unconscious parts of the script. By taking care of “old” deficits it allows both deconfusing the child and adopting a new introject.
In the webinar, the method is briefly presented by means of an example.
Anna Krieb TSTA-P, Psychologist, Psychotherapist
Many years of working in different clinics and advise-centers.
Methods: TA, Script-Drama-Therapy
Topics: Depression, Anxiety, Addiction, other ICD Digangoses, Transgender Identity, LBGTIQ, Couples
Living in Germany, Stuttgart

A Phenomenological Investigation of Supervisees’ Experiences in TA Supervision- Andy Williams

Andy will discuss his recent MSc research project that has now led him to Doctoral study. The research project is a phenomenological investigation, inquiring of supervisees about what they see as the essential components needed for good supervision. The key points from the abstract are below:
Supervision within the counselling and psychotherapy profession is accepted as an essential component of good practice.
The supervisor’s intuition and observations may suggest that they are performing well and have utility in their role as supervisor
But what is the evidence base for good supervision?
This phenomenological investigation explored the experience of the customer – the supervisee, inquiring about their experience, meaning-making and sense-making of being supervised.
What are the critical emergent themes of the supervisee from being supervised?
The current outcome from this work is a list of factors that may support, aid or confront the supervisor as they offer themselves in their role as supervisor.
Participants will be invited to see if they recognize, endorse or challenge these factors, and is there helpful information here for our practice – either as the supervised or the supervisor?
Andy Williams TSTA(P) is conducting a research doctorate (DPhil) focusing on the shared endeavour of TA Clinical Supervision. He is particularly interested in critical theory and issues of social justice and cultural competency within teaching, learning and psychotherapeutic processes. His developing focus is the supervisee’s experience of supervision and being supervised. He is passionate about Eco-TA and working in the outdoors and is wondering about what supervision looks like taking place in the landscape. The Climate Crisis challenges him, and he looks to include landscape and climate in his TA work.
