Deniz Güney – EATA new vice president

We’re delighted to introduce the second of the two newly elected EATA Vice Presidents from the Council meeting in Bucharest — Deniz Güney from Turkey.

We warmly welcome Deniz to this exciting new role and wish her all the best as she begins her term.

What are her thoughts as she steps into this position?

“Hi, my name is Deniz Güney. First and foremost, I am incredibly honoured and rather excited to be taking on the role of EATA Vice President.

I live, work and practice in my home city of Istanbul, Turkey. With nearly 25 years’ experience in the corporate world as a marketing communications executive and over 10 years as a TA practitioner (CTA in psychotherapy), I feel that I have the right skills mix and energy to bring my perspectives and enthusiasm to this role. For the last 6 years, I have been the EATA delegate from Turkey and a member of the Communication Committee.

In my new role, I am very much looking forward to having the opportunity to utilise my skills and experience in communications to bring about closer and even more effective cooperation both between the national associations and EATA, and between the national associations themselves. As a woman from a country shaped by rapid change, social complexity, turmoil and inequalities, I also feel passionate about prioritising efforts and initiatives to bring about greater diversity, equity and inclusion to flourish and allow all voices to be included and represented.

I am very excited about the three years of my term as Vice President and look forward to supporting EATA and its wider community to continue to grow while remaining diverse, dynamic and relevant.”
