  • TA , AI and Humanity – EATA webinars – 17 September 2026

This series of EATA webinars is open to all and focuses on using AI in TA practice

Artificial Intelligence and Psychotherapy – Structuring Diagnosis and Clinical Thinking in Transactional Analysis – Karine Danan

Artificial intelligence raises many questions among psychotherapists today. Beyond idealized or fear-based representations, it can become a practical tool supporting clinical thinking when used with discernment.

This 30-minute webinar offers a practical introduction to the use of AI as a tool for structuring therapeutic work in Transactional Analysis.

The session will focus on how AI can help therapists organize and clarify their clinical reflection, particularly in:

  • structuring session notes
  • formulating and refining Transactional Analysis diagnosis
  • developing and adjusting treatment plans
  • identifying and tracking open clinical questions throughout the therapeutic process

AI will be presented not as a tool for interpretation or decision-making, but as a support for organizing clinical thinking and strengthening the coherence of clinical reasoning.

The webinar will also address essential guidelines for responsible professional use, including confidentiality, data protection, and clinical responsibility.

A concrete example will be presented through an application currently under development designed to support therapists in structuring their clinical work.

The aim is to help practitioners use artificial intelligence as a structuring support tool while preserving the relational, ethical, and human dimensions of psychotherapy.

Karine Danan is a Certified Transactional Analyst and Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analyst (P-TSTA) with more than sixteen years of clinical experience. Her practice integrates relational, integrative, and body-oriented approaches to psychotherapy.

She founded an Integrative Transactional Analysis psychotherapy school and supports therapists and professionals in training through teaching and education. Author of several books and professional articles, she is particularly interested in how psychotherapeutic practices evolve in response to contemporary transformations.

Through this webinar, she explores how artificial intelligence tools can support the structuring of clinical thinking while respecting the relational and ethical foundations of psychotherapy.

TA, AI and Human Connection – the wonders and limitations of AI in coaching – Sebastien Balbastre and Drs. S.J. Van Poelje

At the last future of work conference at IMD business school I attended the prediction was that 80% of all problem solving coaching would be replaced by AI. There are already intuitive AI coaching programs, like Ariadne and others out there. Some clients, especially young entrepreneurs, already use AI tools to replace or prepare for their coaching. And why not? AI is available 24/7 and is starting to approach intuitive thinking.

However, the dangers of AI are apparent in everyday life, though there is surprisingly little research available yet. Coaching is an inherently relationship- and reflection focused business, that thrives on meaningful human interaction. AI however lacks emotional intelligence, and might misinterpret subtle emotional cues, which might lead to inappropriate advice. There may be ethical concerns about data security, bias in AI systems and transparency issues around criteria for decision making. And ofcourse AI risks to dehumanize and oversimplify coaching.

In this webinar we will give concrete examples of the use of AI in coaching, and explore the benefits and limitations of AI. We will outline which types of coaching service will stay intact and offer clear guidelines for further coach training.
