What does the Exceptions and Expansions Officer do?

Following the introduction of the TEW Coordinator, we would now like to present another key EATA role: the EATA Exceptions and Expansions Officer, currently held by Bev Gibbons from the UK.

So, what does the Exceptions and Expansions Officer do?

“He/she grants EXCEPTIONS (when a TSTA or PTSTA or a CTATS and a trainee want to sign a training contract together in a field of specialization other than the one the principal supervisor is qualified in) and EXPANSIONS(allowing a TSTA or PTSTA or CTATS to expand their permission to train and to sign training contracts in a further field of specialization than the one they are qualified in ) according to established rules indicated in the Training Standards Handbook.”

You can read more about this role in the last PTSC – COC Connect from 3rd April (in your inbox).
