The Professional Training Standards Committee (PTSC) is installed for you to make sure that we as TA community maintain and improve the required educational and professional standards. To do so, we review the criteria and requirements for training. So if you want to become a CTA, PTSTA, CTA TS or TSTA, we support you by giving guidelines and requirements for your qualification. Of course we do this with the TA philosophy and ethical principles in mind including diversity, inclusivity, equity, accessibility and sustainability.

Our main product is the handbook with all kinds of processes to make sure that at the right moment you know exactly what to do and how. This supports a clear and confident journey towards your exam.

We work closely with the Commission of Certification (COC) which manages everything to do with the examination process. We also collaborate with the Professional Standards Committee (PSC) of the ITAA, with whom we have mutual recognition of standards. We want to make sure that your status as a CTA, PTSTA, CTA TS or TSTA is recognised worldwide.

Whenever you are in need of an exception or expansion, the officer for exceptions and expansions will guide you through this process.

If, due to exceptional circumstances, you need an exemption from one of the exam requirements please email the PTSC Chair with details of your request.

Our intention is to work in a transparent way so when bigger changes are necessary, we will work together with you to develop and change whatever needs a change.

PTSC meeting dates

Please take into account the following system for managing responses to EATA members that PTSC agreed on: requests and questions received by the last day of the month preceding the meeting will be considered and processed on each date.

This organisational purpose will keep taking into account matters of specific urgency. Thank you.
