🌍 #CheckingInWithDelegates
Today we warmly introduce Paul Martin Raspe from the Netherlands to our #CheckingInWithDelegates series ✨
Paul Martin shares with us his reflections, experiences, and thoughts on the importance of the delegate role within the EATA community 💬🌿
“My aim is to help make (EA)TA more accessible and visible within everyday society across Europe. This includes initiatives such as CONNECT, the shared newsletter of COC and PTSC, and exploring how video and personal storytelling can present TA in a more human, relatable, and accessible way.
For me, the role of a delegate goes beyond representation; it is also about building connections: creating bridges between local and international perspectives, between TA and other professional approaches and theories, and between experienced and emerging professionals, while embracing the beauty of cultural diversity within our community.”
We wish Paul Martin lots of joy, inspiration, and good luck in his role as a delegate 🍀💛

Dear colleagues 🌍
As you know, for the European Transactional Analysis Research Conference to be held in Rome in December 2026, the official language will be English, with translation provided only into Italian.
Since we, as the Organizing Committee, have been receiving requests from other language groups whose members are not familiar with English, we have reached the following decision:
✅ The Organizing Committee will provide interpreters with all the necessary technical support and equipment required for their translation work.
However, interpreters for any additional language groups must be hired and financed by the interested language group itself.
For any questions or requests, please contact the secretary’s office 📩

We hope to see many of you in Rome ✨ and send you our warmest regards 💛

Dear members ✨
We are truly happy to introduce Javier Cormenzana, Creative & Visual Design Collaborator for EATA 🎨. Javier has been part of the EATA community for almost eight years, and during that time he has become much more than a collaborator to us. With his creativity, kindness, dedication, and quiet presence behind the scenes 💛, he has supported countless important EATA projects and become an invaluable and trusted pillar of support within our community.
We are deeply grateful for everything he brings to EATA — not only professionally, but also personally and humanly 🌿
What does Javier have to say about his involvement with EATA? ✨
"My evolution in graphic design began in Argentina while I was studying architecture. Since then, I have never stopped working as a graphic designer and art director for newspapers and magazines. Since moving to Spain in 1999, I have integrated web design into my professional career, combining my background in print media with new digital landscapes.
In 2019, through friends—Bruno Gallier and Maurits Baeyens—I began getting to know the members of EATA and collaborating with the Communications Committee to develop a new design for eatanews.org.
Following the web development, I collaborated on the logo renewal and the creation of EATA’s corporate identity. Over the years, I have been involved in additional projects, such as the new newsletter, the Delegates map, and the TA Trainers subpage.
From the very beginning, working with Kristyna T. and all the committee members and chairs has been smooth and pleasant. For me, EATA represents a group of people ready to support Europeans in these confusing and aggressive times, marked by wars and social and economic setbacks. Keeping this vision in mind has helped me translate that spirit into EATA’s visual identity, which embodies warmth, proximity, clarity, and respect."
Thank you so much Javier!

😊 EATA is very pleased to announce the possibility for our members to take their CTA exam, their CTA Trainer examination (TOE only) as well as their TSTA examination (TOE only) online on Friday, January 29th, 2027. The complete TSTA-Teach and TSTA-Supervision exams as well as CTA-TS Teach and Supervision exams will be possible as from January 2028.
🌍 This means that as from 2027, both ITAA and EATA adopt the two-fold approach to their examination and certification system: on-site and online.
💡 EATA believes that extending the range of opportunities for members to take exams also takes into consideration possible financial restrictions, mobility issues, other DEIA needs and much needed ecological aspects of not having to travel.
🧭 The online examinations will follow the on-site procedures as closely as possible to ensure the same high-quality standards as the on-site examinations, which will also continue to be run.
👩💻 We hope that experienced on-site examiners will make themselves available for the online exams. A special technical Zoom meeting will be held beforehand to give online examiners the opportunity to get acquainted with Zoom.
🤝 EATA is especially grateful to ITAA and the members of the International Board of Certification (IBOC) for their generous support and for sharing their extensive online exam experience.
📩 If you wish to apply for an online CTA exam, please send your CTA oral exam application (form 13.7.3) to the Language Coordinator of your language group.
📨 For TSTA candidates who wish to apply for their TOE exam, please send your TSTA oral exam application (form 13.12.4) to the EATA Supervising Examiner.
coc.exam.administrator@eatanews.org
📄 CTA-TS candidates who wish to apply for their TOE exam, please send your exam application (form 13.11.3) to the EATA Supervising Examiner.
coc.supervising.examiner@eatanews.org
🔎 Please always refer to the EATA website for the latest information about the examination calendar and to the latest edition of the handbook on the EATA website where you can find also contacts for further questions (Mayke&Nikki).
🎉 We look forward to welcoming you to the online exams in January 2027.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming two outstanding speakers to our joint EATA–ITAA webinar 🎓✨: Dr. Joel Vos and Dr. Biljana van Rijn, co-authors of The Handbook of Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy: An Evidence-Based Guide (Sage, 2025) 📘. More about the book on EATA website.
Joel and Biljana delivered a rich and thought-provoking presentation 💡 exploring key questions such as: Why do we need research in psychological therapies? What are the limitations of research? And how can we bring existing evidence together into a coherent, evidence-based conceptual model of Transactional Analysis?
They also shared insights from their research journey 🔍, including a large-scale survey of 238 TA therapists, and offered practical tools 🛠️ by identifying key TA practices and demonstrating how research findings can be applied in clinical work. Importantly, they addressed how research can support political advocacy 🏛️ and contribute to gaining broader recognition for TA as a field.
The session concluded with an open invitation 🤝 for further research and collaboration, encouraging others to build on this important work.
We were delighted to welcome more than 250 participants 👥, whose engagement and enthusiasm made the event truly inspiring 🌟.
A big thank you to Joel and Biljana for their time, expertise, and dedication 🙏, and to Leilani Mitchell for hosting 🎤.
We’re already looking forward to the next one! 🚀
