EATA is seeking proposals for EATA Webinars 2025

Dear EATA Members,
Thank you for your active participation in our webinars! They’ve proven to be a valuable resource, reaching members who wouldn’t otherwise attend conferences and fostering networking opportunities within the TA community.

We have two more EATA webinars this year: October 24 and December 13, 2024 (registration link for the October webinar: https://eatanews.org/eata-webinar-series-2024-ta-best-practice-october-24/). We’ll announce the December webinar details soon.

As you know, EATA organizes two types of webinars: those solely by EATA (focusing on “TA’s Best Practices” in 2024) and those in collaboration with ITAA. To create the most interesting and useful webinar program for 2025, we truly value your input!

With this in mind, the EC has chosen “Socially Related Projects” as the theme for EATA-organized webinars in 2025. If you’re working on socially oriented projects or know colleagues who are, we encourage you to share your expertise! Please submit your proposal by November 29, 2024, to vicepresident-rpiiroinen@eatanews.org .

EATA will host three webinars in 2025: two in spring (March 24 and May 27) and one in autumn (October 29), all at 18:00 BST (19:00 CET). Due to budget constraints, we won’t be able to provide interpreters in 2025. However, local associations can arrange and cover interpretation costs if desired. Zoom’s automatic translation captions are also available for some languages. Therefore, presenters must be comfortable presenting in English or arrange their own interpretation.

When submitting your proposal, please specify whether you prefer a 20-minute or 40-minute presentation. We’ll select the final projects for presentation by the end of January 2025 at the latest. You’ll be notified regardless of selection. We also collaborate on EATA+ITAA webinars, so if your proposal seems like a better fit for that format, we might recommend it there.

The webinars will be hosted once again by Leilani Mitchell (TSTA-P), known for her professionalism and warm presence.

Thank you in advance for your contributions, ideas, and participation!
Best regards,

On behalf of the EATA Executive Committee,
Ritva Piiroinen, Vice President of EATA
