Rosanna Giacometto – New PTSC Chair

Let us welcome Rosanna Giacometto, the new PTSC Chair, who took the torch from Cathy McQuaid at this Council meeting. 🙌 Please join us in wishing her every success in this new role 💐

And what does Rosanna say about this new chapter of hers? 👇

“I am a psychologist, psychotherapist, and TSTA-P from Rome, Italy. I have a deep passion for my clinical work as well as for the educational TA field.

I first “met” transactional analysis by chance, as it was the topic of a mandatory course during my university studies. It has been an encounter that continues to last and grow.

Through TA I found not just a theory and a solid frame of reference for practice, but also a community—a sense of national and international belonging, which is a real treasure. Years ago, I began translating the EATA Newsletter into Italian and later became its Editor. I have also been TEW Coordinator, and now I am PTSC Chair.

You may be wondering, as I did myself: so many roles—why? After reflecting and staying connected with TA for a while, I found my answer: I consider myself privileged to be part of the European TA community, and by dedicating some of my time, I can honor this privilege. This is my reason for serving EATA; this is my commitment as PTSC Chair.

Thanks to all PTSC members for their trust, and to the EATA Council for welcoming me so warmly.

Let’s take care of our association together!”
